Mercy’s Door is full of diverse people, and while God calls all His people to serve, He also made each of us with capacities to serve in differing ways.

We believe the church is meant to function differently from the world. In the world, people are typically deployed strictly in roles and functions where they are skilled or experienced. In the church, we believe that faithfulness to Christ, a love for His church and the people around us, a willing heart, a humble spirit, a servant attitude, and teachability are the attributes that honor the Lord.

We are not looking for experts. We are not scouting talent. We do not believe the church is divided between professionals and amateurs. We believe that every person in the body of Christ serves a function for building up the church and serving others.
