The best part about the Easter story is that it is 100% true! Though it happened more than two thousand years ago the perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection of Jesus changed the world (and you and I) forever. Even now, thousands of miles away from where it happened and in a world that looks little like the one Jesus lived in, the resurrection should change how we see the world, what we place our hope in, and how we deal with fears and temptations. Easter doesn’t just change one day a year for us. The Apostle John said that all those who place their hope and trust in Jesus will forever be sons and daughters of God. We will be adopted into his family, forgiven of all of our sins and mistakes, and be given a place in Heaven where we will live forever with Jesus. The empty tomb proves that even death has been defeated for those that belong to Jesus. From our church family to yours we pray that you are able to truly celebrate the victory of Jesus this Easter and be reminded of God’s great love for you that caused him to send Jesus into the world.
