The world in which we live, work, and raise our families is not the one designed by the perfect creator. We instead live in a world marred by sin, death, and brokenness. Our rebellion against our creator has brought strife where once their was unity, fear where once there was peace, and hurt where once there was joy. And yet, in the midst of this place, we cling day by day to an unfailing hope, that God, being rich in mercy, has left eternity to dwell amongst us in order to save and redeem what we have broken. This holiday season, in the midst of a world trying to convince itself that all things are “cheerful and bright” we are going to spend three weeks reminding each other than we have a hope that is not based on our circumstances, relationships, finances, or health. Will you join us during the month of December as we lean into, long for, and savor the thrill of hope given to the world on Christmas two thousand years ago?
