One of the most difficult truth’s that we find in the pages of scripture is our unworthiness of God’s love and forgiveness.  God’s word is filled with story after story about our sinfulness, selfishness and idolatry.   And yet, while scripture is full of evidence about the rebellious nature of men, it declares even louder the amazing grace of God. The small book of Jonah in the Old Testament is filled with evidence of God’s relentless love and undeterred pursuit of rebellious people.  It describes to us God’s love and mercy for people both near and far to Him, and also points to the ultimate act of love, mercy, and pursuit by Jesus our Savior.
