Every child is asking two questions: Am I loved? Can I do whatever I want?
We answer those question every day with our words and actions. Our hope is to help create a day where you can learn how to answer those questions the same way our Father answers us, "Yes you are loved. No, you may not do whatever you want."
The conference will take place at the Maryville, IL YMCA located at 1 Town Center Drive, Maryville, IL 62062 on April 1st from 9am to 4pm. We have 3 amazing communicators coming in to discuss parenting that have children ranging from babies to adults. Tim and Kelly Gray, from City on a Hill Church in Arnold, MO, will do a combined teaching to help us think about how our children's activities impact their developing brains. Michael Collins, from Mercy's Door Community Church in Mascoutah, will be teaching on the roles parents play and how to share the parenting roles biblically and equally. Corey Johnston, from Heights Church in Collinsville, IL, will be creating space for parents to consider what their environment was like growing up, and how that environment may or may not be being effecting their family now.
The event is going to be an intensive one-day event. Hopefully, this will allow you to step out of your normal rhythms and create some space to think and be encouraged as parents.
A light breakfast will be provided and lunch will be provide by Chick-fil-A.
